Lost Lake Falls

Lost Lake is located on Chuckanut Mountain in Larabee State Park. On the eastern shore of the lake, the small outlet stream runs out and almost immediately goes down Lost Lake Falls. The falls start with a slide of around 20 vertical feet before plunging over a sandstone ledge in two separate 20' plunges. Below the main drop, the creek continues to run along the sandstone bedrock for another 80 or so vertical feet. You can't see any of this because the entire creek is covered with logs. The best views are from the side because it showcases the cool ledge that the falls bounce off halfway down.

Eventually, you will see Lost Lake through the trees to your right. At the next fork, turn right and follow the trail along the eastern side of Lost Lake. At the lake's outlet stream, leave the trail and scramble down the hillside to the falls.
