DIRECTIONS - Drive south from Darrington along the Mountain Loop Highway. Turn left onto FR 24/22 at the White Chuck Boat Launch. Stay on the main road until it reaches a T and then turn right onto FR 22. The small waterfall is located about 8 miles along the road.

Lower Gold Mountain Falls occurs right next to the Old Mountain Loop Highway. The creek tumbles a total of 35' in two tiers. It begins with a short slide before turning 90 degrees and horsetailing down the rocky slope, widening as it falls. Logs and brush block the bottom, but this is a fairly pretty waterfall. If you happen to be in the area be sure to take a peek out the window at this waterfall and if you have more time scramble up to the other waterfalls further upstream.
