Grandy Creek contains a long series of drops located just upstream from a logging road. I had been to the base of the falls once several years ago, but didn't get to see the main part of the waterfall until my most recent trip. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the waterfall is much more significant than I originally thought. Not only is it taller and much steeper than I thought, but the three main sections are remarkably beautiful. The falls drop a total of 248' in height. About half of that height is made up of three main sections, with the remainder consisting of the various slides and cascades in between. The upper of the three main sections is the two-tiered 51' drop seen to the left. The middle section is a gorgeous 37' tall drop, and the lower of the main tiers is a 43' tall double drop.
