Normally Pilchuck Falls is a segmented waterfall with one main drop and a couple smaller ones. However, when the river is running high, it can be one huge block waterfall around 60' wide. The waterfall used to be a popular place to jump from the cliffs in the summer, as well as for kayakers hoping to run the falls.

In the summer of 2014, two men died by falling down into the canyon, one a Search and Rescue volunteer. Later in the summer a local teen fell at the falls and ended up passing away after six months in a coma. Let this be a warning to be super careful around waterfalls and canyons. It only takes one slip to kill you.

The area has been posted with No Trespassing signs, but the signs keep getting torn down. Please respect the property owner's rights and do not visit this waterfall.
