DIRECTIONS - Drive 21 miles to near the end of the very rough Illabot Creek Road and park at the Slide Lake Trailhead. Slide Lake is reached in a little over a mile. Continue along the trail for another 2.75 miles. The trail may get confusing at times, but ribbons and blazes on trees mark the way if you're unsure where to go. Just before reaching Enjar Lake, you should see the falls off to the right. A little scrambling may be necessary to get a clear view.

Slide Lake is a popular day hike or a good first overnighter for a family with kids. It's an easy mile and a half each way to the lake. The trail continues on another couple miles to Enjar Lake, getting a little rougher along the way. A short distance downstream from Enjar Lake, the outlet stream drops over this very pretty 25' tall waterfall into a little canyon surrounded by ferns and evergreens. It's certainly not something that you should go out of your way to visit, but if you're hiking to Enjar Lake, the falls can be seen from the trail so there's no reason not to take a peak.
