DIRECTIONS - Drive south from Darrington along the Mt. Loop Highway and turn right onto FR 2080. In about a mile, the road will make a Y. Take the left and park at the immediate gate. Walk along the road for a short distance to where Brown Creek has washed out the road. The falls are a couple hundred feet upstream.

Brown Creek drops over a small waterfall just upstream from a now closed logging road. The road was actually closed when Brown Creek washed it out just downstream. The waterfall is not particularly pretty, but it's impressive the way the creek has cut itself into the cliff.

Interestingly, this appears to be a brand new waterfall, created at the same time that the road was washed out. I checked upstream in this location before the washout and didn't see anything, but there is certainly a small waterfall there now.
