DIRECTIONS - Drive south from Darrington along the Mountain Loop Highway. Turn right onto White Chuck Road (FR 25) just before the Highway turns to gravel. Follow the road for about 5 miles until it crosses the river. Shortly after, FR 25 is barricaded and you'll have to get out and walk. Follow the road for about 2.5 miles until you see the falls roaring down next to the road.

Meadow Mountain Falls is a very pretty waterfall that heads high on, you guessed it, Meadow Mountain. The falls being with a little 10' tall drop before spreading out and dropping 40' in a gorgeous 15' wide curtain of water. Below this it tumbles another 20' in a pretty fan-shaped drop before cascading for another 10' or so. Clear views are a little tough to come by thanks to some misplaced trees. It should be possible to get right at the base of the main drop by scrambling up the right side of the creek. I suspect this waterfall is actually more photogenic with a lower volume. The 40' tall main drop would be especially nice.

Were the White Chuck Road still open, this one would be a piece of cake to view. The road is pretty damaged and its future is in doubt so at least for the time being, you'll have to walk.
