Horizon Falls is an incredible waterfall, the uppermost of a series of great waterfalls on an unnamed, though very large, creek that drops into Glacier Creek. The falls begin with a powerful 54' tall horsetailing drop that spreads out to 35' wide. Immediately below there, the creek spreads out to 80' wide in a weird sort of s-shape (at least from above). The creek drops over this s-curve in a massive wall of water, crashing into huge boulders and logs at the bottom. The creek then gathers itself and has a final 10' drop before cascading towards Lower Horizon Falls downstream. Like the entire creek, the area around the falls is stunning with thick moss, colorful brush, and large evergreens.

The addition of Horizon Falls makes five major waterfalls on this creek. The three largest are one of the best trios of waterfalls on any creek I've visited, and Horizon Falls is likely the best waterfall of the bunch. It's a real shame that this area is so difficult to get to, because a loop trail visiting the three major waterfalls could be one of the most popular trails in the area.
