DIRECTIONS - Drive out Highway 20 east of Newhalem to the Colonial Creek Campground/Thunder Creek Trailhead. Hike out Thunder Creek Trail for about three miles where the falls will be impossible to miss.

Panther Potholes Falls is a pretty cascade that drops right next to the Thunder Creek Trail and is a great spot to fill your water bottle on the hike. The trail and a pretty bridge bisects the falls such that about half of it is above the bridge and half of it is below.

This is not an incredible waterfall, but it is pretty, and if you're hiking the Thunder Creek Trail you're going to walk right by it. Maybe even get splashed by it. Later in the summer the volume of the creek diminishes quite a bit.
